Line Cook

Schedule: Part Time | Days, Evenings and/or weekends 

Position Overview

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food while keeping the kitchen running smoothly. This role includes food preparation, working cooking stations, keeping up with orders, and making sure every dish meets Que’s Sweet Heat standards. This is a fast-paced position that requires reliability, attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to work well under pressure. This role also includes keeping the kitchen clean, stocked, and ready for service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to Que’s Sweet Heat recipes and standards.
  • Complete daily food prep and keep ingredients stocked throughout service
  • Operate the grill, fryer, and other cooking equipment as needed.
  • Manage multiple orders while maintaining speed, accuracy, and food quality.
  • Monitor food temperatures, portions, cooking times, and presentation.
  • Assist with inventory, restocking, deliveries, and reducing food waste.
  • Complete opening, closing, and cleaning duties.

Experience Required

  • 1–2 years of line cook or professional kitchen experience preferred.
  • Experience working a grill, fryer, flat top, or similar cooking equipment.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Food Handler’s Certification is preferred or must be obtained as required
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work scheduled shifts.

Pay Scale

  • Starting at $18.00 per hour

Front of House/ Food Truck Assistant

Schedule: Part Time | Days, Evenings and/or weekends 

Position Overview

The Front of House team member is responsible for providing great customer service and keeping the service side of the food truck running smoothly. This role includes greeting customers, taking orders, handling payments, serving food, and making sure orders are accurate. This is a fast-paced position that requires a positive attitude, good communication, attention to detail, and the ability to stay organized during busy service. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.
  • Communicate orders clearly with the kitchen and ensure customers receive the correct food.
  • Package and hand out orders, checking for accuracy before they leave the truck.
  • Keep the service window, ordering area, and customer-facing spaces clean and organized.
  • Keep drinks, sauces, utensils, napkins, and other service items stocked.
  • Help manage customer flow and keep service moving during busy periods.
  • Handle opening, closing, setup, and breakdown of the food truck.
  • Assist with basic food prep, cleaning, and other tasks when needed.

Qualifications 

  • Reliable and punctual 
  • Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 Ibs
  • Team-oriented with a strong work ethic
  • Food Service experience preferred but not required 
  • Food Handler's Permit preferred or willingness to obtain 

Pay Scale

  • Starting at $16.00 per hour
